Privacy Policy Terms of Use (EULA) Data Deletion

PomoPlan Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 7, 2026

PomoPlan ("we", "our", or "the app") is a productivity app developed by OdakStudio. This policy explains how we handle your data across iOS and Android platforms.

Data We Collect

PomoPlan stores all tasks, habits, Pomodoro sessions, and settings locally on your device. We do not collect, monetize, or transmit this data to our own servers.

Cloud Backup

If you choose to use the optional cloud backup feature, your data is saved securely to your personal Google Drive account. We do not have access to your Google Drive or your backed-up data. This feature requires Google Sign-In and operates entirely between your device and Google's cloud infrastructure.

Advertising & Tracking

The free version of PomoPlan displays ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use device information and advertising identifiers (such as IDFA on iOS or AAID on Android) to serve ads. You can learn more at Google's Privacy Policy.

App Tracking Transparency (iOS): On iOS devices (iOS 14.5 and later), tracking for personalized advertising is strictly subject to your permission via Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework. You can grant or revoke this permission at any time in your device's Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → PomoPlan.

In-App Purchases & Subscriptions

Premium subscriptions (Monthly and Yearly) and one-time lifetime purchases are processed securely through the Apple App Store (for iOS devices) or Google Play Store (for Android devices). Purchase entitlements, subscriptions, and receipts are validated and managed by RevenueCat. We do not store or process your credit card or billing information. RevenueCat's privacy policy is available at revenuecat.com/privacy.

Subscription Terms & Auto-Renewal

Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account (iOS) or Google Play account (Android) upon confirmation of purchase.

Terms of Use (EULA)

By using PomoPlan and purchasing subscriptions, you agree to our Terms of Use (EULA). For iOS users, your use is also subject to Apple's Standard EULA. For Android users, your use is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service.

Permissions

Accessibility Service – Strict Mode (Android Only)

PomoPlan on Android includes an optional feature called Strict Mode, which uses Android's Accessibility Service API. This feature is off by default and the app functions fully without it. It must be turned on manually by the user from Settings, after reading and accepting an in-app disclosure dialog.

What data is accessed

While a focus session is active and Strict Mode is enabled, the service receives only the package name (e.g. com.example.app) of the app that comes to the foreground. The service does not read screen content, text on the screen, typed input, notifications, or any other on-screen information. This is enforced at the manifest level via android:canRetrieveWindowContent="false", and the service listens only to typeWindowStateChanged events.

Why we use it

When the user opens a different app during an active focus session, PomoPlan detects the package switch in real time and brings the user back to PomoPlan, helping them stay focused. We considered Android's UsageStatsManager API as an alternative, but it provides delayed and sampled data and cannot reliably trigger a real-time response to a package change, which is required for this feature to be useful.

How the data is handled

Why this is not an accessibility tool

PomoPlan's Accessibility Service is declared with android:isAccessibilityTool="false" because Strict Mode is a productivity feature, not a tool that assists users with disabilities.

How to revoke

You can disable Strict Mode at any time from Settings → Strict Mode inside PomoPlan, or by turning the service off in Android Settings → Accessibility → Installed services → PomoPlan Strict Mode.

Data Retention & Deletion

Because all your personal data is stored locally on your device or in your personal Google Drive, you retain full control over your data. For step-by-step instructions on wiping local data or deleting cloud backups, visit our Data Deletion Instructions.

Children's Privacy

PomoPlan is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
